Mejia competed for Harvard University from 2011–15, including two times as the EIWA Tournament, but did not qualify for nationals.

== Coaching Career ==

Prior to his time at Augsburg, Mejia spent three years as Women's and Developmental Coach at the Sunkist Kids Regional Training Center in Tempe, Ariz. Mejia also served as girl's wrestling head coach for the Chandler (Ariz.) High School team.
