High School career

In 2017, Shilson became only the second girl in Minnesota history to qualify for the boy's tournament in wrestling. There she lost her only match 7–4 while competing in the 106-pound weight class.[1]

College Career

Shilson spent her first two seasons at 109 pounds.

International career

In 2018, Shilson won the 43-kilogram weight class at the 2018 Cadet World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.
