Jeff Swenson is the current Athletic Director at Augsburg College as well an assistant coach for the wrestling program. For 25 years, Swenson served the head coach of the wrestling program. Swenson graduated from Augsburg in 1979 and won the NAIA 167-pounds national title the same year as well as earning All-American honors three times.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, no NCAA National tournaments were held for the men's team in 2020 and 2021. In 2020, the National Wrestling Coaches Association named All-American teams and 8 Augsburg wrestlers were named to the first team. In 2021, the NWCA held a post-season tournament in which 5 Augsburg wrestlers placed. |
