Joe Moon

Joe Moon is a former wrestler for Augsburg College. In 2004 and 2005, he was one of four Augsburg Wrestlers to win national championships in both years; the other were Marcus LeVesseur, Mark Matzek and Matt Shankey. Moon won both of his titles were at 174 pounds.[1]

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, no NCAA National tournaments were held for the men's team in 2020 and 2021. In 2020, the National Wrestling Coaches Association named All-American teams and 8 Augsburg wrestlers were named to the first team. In 2021, the NWCA held a post-season tournament in which 5 Augsburg wrestlers placed.
