Sam Bennyhoff is a 133-pound Augsburg wrestler. The starter at 133 lbs for the 2015–16 season, Bennyhoff has compiled a 22–5 record as of February 6, 2016.
High School career
Bennyhoff competed for Mound-Westonka High School, qualifying for State five times, placing the final three of those. As eighth-grader in 2011, he qualified at 103-lb. AAA. As freshman in 2012, he qualified at 106 lbs. He placed second at 113 lbs the following year. As a junior, he took fifth at 120 lbs. As a senior, he placed third at 132 lbs.
As an eighth-grader in 2011, he won the 103-lb. Section 6 Class AAA Individual tournament to advance to the state meet,[1] where he went 0–1.
College career
2015–16 season
Bennyhoff began the season as the starter at 133 pounds.
