College career

2015–16 season

As a true freshman, Flynn redshirted at Div. I North Dakota State University (NDSU), where he went 19–11 wrestling unattached.[1]

2016–17 season

After transferring from NDSU at the semester break, Flynn immediately slotted into the starting role at 141 pounds.[2]
