Devon Bonds is a 133-pound Augsburg wrestler.

High School Career

Wrestling for Humboldt High School (St. Paul, Minn.), Bonds was a two-time state placewinner, finishing as the 130-pound Class AA state champion in 2009, having finished fourth the previous year at 125 pounds.[1] Ranked No. 17 at 130 pounds in the Wrestling USA Magazine 2009 Best High School Senior Wrestlers list, Bonds compiled a 100-31 career record while going 41-8 his senior season.[1]

College Career

2009–10 season

Bonds entered the season mentioned as a newcomer to watch at 133 pounds in the d3wrestle.com Preseason Rankings.[2] Bonds made his debut for Augsburg at the Auggie-Brute-Adidas Open on November 21, he went 3–1 at the 133-pound, placing seventh. Bonds opened the tournament falling by pin to unattached Josh Rogers. He then beat three straight opponents—William Penn's Clark Morgan by a 19-2 technical fall, then Brian Beilke by a 10-2 major decision and finally David Crow (William Penn) 42 seconds into the second period — to claim the seventh spot.[3]

The matches were the only ones Bonds wrestled that season, ending the year with a 3–1 record.
