Eric Hensel is a 174-pound Augsburg wrestler. A transfer from Clackamas Community College, Hensel joined the Auggies starting in the 2013–14 season, though he did not compete until the 2014–15, when he became the starter at 174 pounds. At Clackamas, Hensel competed at 165 pounds, compiling a 16-12 record include 12 victories by pin.
High School career
Hensel competed for Lakeville South High School, qualifying for State twice and finishing fourth at 171 pounds his junior year.
College career

Hensel competed for Clackamas Community College during the 2011-12 season, compiling a 16–12 record and reaching as high as 1st in the 165-pound NJCAA rankings. He did not compete at the NJCAA regional competition.
