Hylton made his Auggie debut at the Auggie-Brute-Adidas Open on Nov. 11, 2009, placing eight in the 125 pound Silver bracket. Hylton started the day with a 6–0 defeat to Angelo Quintana (Northwestern (Iowa)), before picking up two victory is the wrestle back bracket, first over Quinn Klinefelter (Unattached) by an 8–5 decision, then 6–3 over Dan Anderson (RCTC). In the seventh place match, Hylton lost to Buena Vista's Aaron Davenport by 8–6 decision. The 2–2 showing was Hylton's only matches of the season.

Hylton wrestled for Centennial High School (Circle Pines, Minn.), compiling a 91-36 record. Hylton qualified for state twice: competing in 2008 and 2009 in the Class AAA 112 pound weight class.[1]

College career

2009–10 season
