| A two-time individual national champion and three-time [[All-American]] wrestler during his [[Augsburg College]] career, Matzek served as the interim head coach of the Augsburg wrestling program from July 2008 to May 6, 2009. In his first season as head coach, Matzek led his time to a second place finish at the [[2009 NCAA Division III Wrestling National Championships|2009 National Championships]], a first place finish at the [[2009 Great Lakes Regional]] and a 11-2 Dual record in the [[2008–09 Augsburg Wrestling season|2008–09 season]].
