Seidler entered the season mentioned as a newcomer to watch at 141 pounds in the d3wrestle.com Preseason Rankings.[2] Seidler made his debut for Augsburg the Auggie-Brute-Adidas Open on November 21, where he went 1-2 and did not place. In the first round, Seidler pinned St. John's Samuel Morse 2:54 into the first period. In the quarterfinals, he lost to Luther's Kevin Bokoski in a 9-3 decision. In the semifinals of the consolation round (fifth place), Seidler lost to Simpson's Caleb Brus.[3]
