Tyrell Martin is a 174-pound wrestler for Augsburg College. In high school, he wrestled for Henry Sibley (Minn.) High School. A transfer from Ridgewater Community College, Martin joined the Auggies in the 2013–14 season, having qualified both years to the NJCAA tournament at 165 pounds.
College career
2013–14 season
In his first season as a wrestler for Augsburg, Martin compiled a 17–14 record. He made his varsity debut on Jan. 5, 2014, losing a 7–4 decision to James Roach (St. Olaf).[1] Martin saw action at 165, 174 and 184 pounds throughout the year. He ended the year with a sixth place finish at the NCAA West Regional at 174 pounds.
2014–15 season
Through January 30, 2015, Martin has a 9–3 record.[2]
