Brian Gaffney
Brian Gaffney is an Augsburg 133-pound wrestler.
High school career
Gaffney wrestled for Portage High School (Wis.), and finished his senior season (2005) with a fourth-place finish at the Division 1 state tournament (125 lbs.).[1]
College career
Before coming to Augsburg, Gaffney wrestled for the University of Dubuque (Iowa).[1]
2009–10 season
Roberts began the 2009–10 season listed at 133 pounds.[2] At the Auggie-Brute-Adidas Open on November 21, Gaffney went 1-2. In the first round, Gaffney was pinned by Malik Stewart 31 seconds into the second period. In the quarterfinals of the seventh-place consolation round, Gaffney defeated Mitch Spano (unattached) 8-2. Gaffney then fell to David Crow (William Penn), 1:20 into the third period.[3]
