Gary Kroells is a former wrestler for Augsburg College. In 1992 and 1993, he won the 158-pound NCAA Division III national title.^[1]

College career

A two-time All-American at 158 pounds — having finished first both years — Kroells transferred from Div. I Drake (Iowa), where he competed his first two years. Kroells was also a two-time MIAC champion.^[2]

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, no NCAA National tournaments were held for the men's team in 2020 and 2021. In 2020, the National Wrestling Coaches Association named All-American teams and 8 Augsburg wrestlers were named to the first team. In 2021, the NWCA held a post-season tournament in which 5 Augsburg wrestlers placed.
