The 2016–17 Augsburg Wrestling season was Augsburg's 35th season at the NCAA Division III level. The team was coached by Jim Moulsoff. The team completed the season with an 11–2 dual record, including a second-place finish at the NWCA National Duals.
Via the 2017 NCAA Division III West Regional, Augsburg qualified 8 wrestlers to the National Tournament, where they finished second to Wartburg College with 68 points. Donny Longendyke finished second at 285-pounds, while Owen Webster, David Flynn and Lucas Jeske all finished third nationally. Victor Gliva rounded out the Auggie All-Americans with an 8th-place finish.
